Trent College and The Elms are thriving independent schools set in beautiful grounds on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border. We provide a flourishing and happy co-educational environment for children.
We are recruiting an experienced Nurse with current NMC registration to support our Lead Nurse in the provision of Medical Care to the school community.
The appointed candidate will play an important role, in support of the Lead Nurse, to provide first-class care to the children generally and respond to incidents in a professional and appropriate manner.
The successful candidate will have highly developed professional competency, gained in a relevant setting. They will be caring, empathetic, motivated and proactive. This role is well suited to practitioners who naturally work collaboratively and possess excellent inter-personal skills that will enable them to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Experience in assessing and treating minor injuries and illness is essential. Previous experience working within a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
Proven skills or experience relating to current issues in adolescent mental health would be advantageous.
Further information and how to apply can be found on our website.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes a generous school fee discount, parking and complimentary use of the excellent leisure and dining facilities.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
