What are we looking for? 

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Cardiac Cath Lab Charge Nurse to join our Cath Lab team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £63,706.

This is a 1 year Fixed Term position.

The department current routine operational hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30-20:00 (excluding bank holidays). The contractual hours are 37.5hrs per week (excluding on-call shift hours).

There is an on-call service 7 days per week and you will be scheduled for approximately 8-10 on-call shifts per month. Rotas are published 6 weeks in advanced. The service is continuously evolving and the operational hours/shift pattern may be subject to change in the future.

We have 3 Cath Labs supporting our Heart & Vascular Institute in providing the entire spectrum of Cardiac Interventional procedures, including Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology. The post holder will be required to perform clinical duties as a scrub and circulating Nurse across a range of specialities throughout the invasive labs, this includes the Cardiac Catheterisation and Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology Lab, General Radiology and the Hybrid theatre.

What will your duties include? 

• Organise own work and manage own caseload and practice, identifying and maintaining supportive networks for self and other Caregivers

• Provide high standards of individualised nursing care for patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.

• Provide advice and education to patients, ensuring they are actively involved in their plan of care and recovery.

• Able to assess and recognise emergencies

• To act as an advocate for patients at all time

• To communicate in a professional manner at all times with patients, visitors and fellow Caregivers

What we need from you? 

• Nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required.

• Ability to speak and write in English is required.

• Previous/current experience of working as a Senior scrub and circulating nurse in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting essential.

• Competent in/have had exposure to the use of electronic clinical systems (EPIC, similar modern clinical systems) desirable
