As a Registered Learning Disability Nurse you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care. You could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse Learning Disability Nurse, NMC qualified and have evidence of continued professional development throughout your clinical career thus far. Having an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, coupled with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach will enable you to succeed in this role.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £50,400 per annum - DOE. Golden Hello - £3000  (£1,000 in 6 months of service, £1,000 after 12 months and £1,000 after 24 months of service - conditions apply).

HM Prison Thameside is a local category B resettlement prison in the Thamesmead area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South-East London and is situated next to HMP Belmarsh. HMP Thameside is London’s only private prison and can currently hold 1232 convicted and remand male prisoners.
