Job Details
We are excited to offer a band 5 to 6 development role for registered nurses within our Specialist CAMHS Service. The development role is a position for 12-18 months which includes additional training and support and the successful candidates will progress to Band 6 after 12-18 months if all agreed competencies are achieved in line with development plans.
Within the role we are happy to support newly qualified colleagues with their preceptorships as a part of the development role.

Secure CAMHS operates 7 days per week across the year providing a services from 8:00-20:00, and your shifts will fit within this pattern.
Please note the working pattern for this position is 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
There will be an opportunity to build therapeutic relationships with young people, in order to assess risk and mental health needs. Liaison, communication and consultation with other professional groups within the YOI will be necessary to ensure that robust and holistic care plans are established around young people. There will be opportunities to develop and run therapeutic groups and chances to offer 1:1 interventions, depending on the identified needs of young people. You will be working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, within which fortnightly wellbeing pathway meetings are held. Pathway meetings are an opportunity to contribute to multidisciplinary discussions about young people and their needs.
