Registered nurse job description
As a registered nurse at Barchester, we'll look to you to create a safe and supportive environment for our care home residents, who have a range of physical, medical and mental health needs.
As a staff nurse, you can expect a wide range of medical responsibilities working in a Barchester care home. From developing tailored care plans for patients, to providing medicine safely in the nursing home. As part of this nursing role at Barchester, we will rely on your professional nursing judgement to make critical clinical and healthcare decisions that will affect the health of the residents in our care home.
You will work to deliver nursing and clinical excellence across everything you do as a valued member of our healthcare staff. As a Registered Nurse (RGN) at Barchester, you’ll have the working autonomy to do things the right way – and be truly valued and respected as a care home nurse. You will be a co-ordinator, advising our carer team and offering companionship to the nursing home residents in your professional capacity as a staff nurse.
Person specification for mental health nursing job
You will have a current NMC registration as a registered nurse, and a good working knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical and medical practices to join us as an RGN. Any post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience of producing well-developed patient care plans and detailed risk assessments is important too, as is an understanding of regulatory frameworks including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
We want all our nurses and care assistants to be dedicated and compassionate, and to deliver exceptional healthcare. So you’ll pride yourself on your aptitude for providing person-centred care, having a thoughtful approach to nursing, and a caring attitude.
