School Nurse / Nursing Assistant - Wokingham, Berkshire
Competitive salary dependant on qualifications and experience
Our client is a full boarding boys' preparatory school set in 130 acres of Berkshire countryside. The principal aims of the school are for boys to grow and flourish in a happy environment, to explore and expand their potential and to develop an awareness and concern for others around them.

A vacancy has arisen for a qualified School Nurse or experienced Nursing Assistant for an immediate start.  You will be covering various shifts providing medical and pastoral care and work closely with the other two nurses in the team, School Doctor and six resident matrons.  You should currently hold a General Nursing or NVQ qualification in Child Healthcare, be cheerful, sensitive and approachable as well as practical and well organised - experience of a boarding school environment is desirable.
The nursing team of three, work a rota of split shifts; 7am-2.30pm or 1.30-9pm.  The shifts are split into week 1 and week 2 due to the boys going home every other weekend, Friday lunchtime till Sunday evening.  The shifts available average 29hrs a week over a fortnight, though of course there is some flexibility. A full clean driving licence is essential.
